The official release of Google Maps Navigation for Android only allows turn-by-turn navigation inside the US, but thanks to some clever users now you can use it anywhere in the world.

The best part is that there no need to root your phone, neither perform some complicated hacks, the only requitement is having Android Donut 1.6 installed. Just follow this simple steps and you gonna have Maps Navigation in your Android Phone:

  1. Just download the modded Google Maps app.
  2. Connect your phone with your pc and transfer the file to your storage.
  3. Download an apk installer from the market and install the file (search for apk). You can use “AppsInstaller“.
  4. On your phone, open the menu and select the 2nd maps app.
  5. In Google M4ps press menu and choose directions, make a route and press start
  6. You’ll get asked to choose the nav app, choose the second (…m4ps….)
  7. That’s it, happy navving!
