A couple of days ago Microsoft released the Beta version of Office 2010 only to MSDN and Technet subscribers. Today, the download of Office 2010 is available for free to everyone who wants to try it on its computer.
Specifically, the version available to test is Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta, which includes the following applications: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, InfoPath, Excel, SharePoint Workspace, OneNote and Communicator.
How to get your free copy of Office 2010 Beta
- Visit http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/es/default.aspx and click on “Get it now”:

- Now you are going to need a Windows Live (@hotmail.com or @msn.com or @live.com) account to access the download page. If you don’t have one you can register for free:

- Fill in the form with any data you like:

- Take note of the Multiple Activation Key (MAK). You will needed to activate the product later:

- Finally, choose the language and platform version (32-bit or 64-bit) that you want to download:

How to activate Office 2010
- Open Microsoft Word 2010 Beta and click on the “File” tab. This will take you to the Backstage view. Next click “Help” in the set of tabs on the left.
- Click “Change Product Key” on the right side of the screen.
- Enter the Multiple Activation Key (MAK) displayed above. Please check the box to activate automatically or restart the app to activate using the activation dialog box.
- That’s all you need to do. Entering the MAK key in Microsoft Word 2010 Beta automatically activates all the Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta applications. Click on the “File” tab to return to the Document view.
Microsoft recommends to uninstall any previuos version of Office. Also take note that the Beta version of Office 2010 will expire on October 2010.
